Valentines Day Recipes
Mix salad
200g tomatoes
200g cucumbers
Greek stile cheese
10 olives
olive oil
2 eggs
vinaigrette
Cut tomatoes and cucumbers on small pieces. Mix it in a wide salad bowl. Add cheese. Boil the eggs and cut it. Prepare dressing of olive oil and vinaigrette.
Watercress and avocado salad
1 avocado
1 bunch of well washed watercress
2 spring onions
30ml olive oil
15 ml lemon juice
1 finely chopped clove of garlic
Cut the avocado in quarters and peel carefully. Cut the watercress and the spring onion and combine in salad bowl. Shake the olive oil, lemon juice and garlic in a bottle and drizzle over the salad. Toss lightly and it is ready to serve.
Russian salad
5 potatoes
1c peas
100d hum
2 eggs
250g mayonnaise
10 olives
Boil tomatoes and cut on small pieces. Add the rest of the products and mix all together. Leave for 2 hours in the fridge and serve.
Red Coleslaw
250g red cabbage
1 red onion
4 thinly sliced radishes
1 red apple
15ml red wine vinegar330ml yogurt
5ml honey
salt and black pepper
Cut cabbage, onion, apple and radishes and place in a bowl. In a blender shake the remaining ingredients. Pour the dressing over the salad and serve with crusty bread.
Carrot and almond salad
1 orange
4 large carrots
1 lime
45g raisins
45ml olive oil
30 ml toasted flaked almonds
Peel the carrots and grate them coarsely. Scrub the orange and lime ,grate the rind and add it to the carrots. Toss through the carrots and stir in the raisins. Squeeze the orange and lime and mix the juice with the olive oil. Pour the dressing over the salad .Scatter over the toasted flaked almonds and serve.
